Got about R300 back last year. I was so excited that I didn't know what to spend it on. Thought about buying a car but decided to invest it instead.

@ least it is better than owing them R300

I guess one could buy 30 Steers' Rib Burgers, if they had stock available or some uncapped ADSL for a month & a bit

Did you know that if you don't claim correctly, you still have a chance to amend your claim. A guy at work normally does my husband's and he was lucky to get back about R400 a year. He was actually fine with that, even though the other guys at work used to get back a whole lot more. So a friend decides to have a look at it, told him the claim was done wrong and resubmitted for the previous 3 years. Yes !!! And with efiling got the money in 2 weeks.

I forgot my efiling username and password... I have to go to the actual SARS office...

The thought makes me vommit a little in my mouth. But I got about R1500 back last year and as said above; I also need new tyres. I turned one of the back tyres into swiss cheese somehow.

No need to go into a SARS office:

Or just phone the tollfree number 0800 00 7277

I logged in at 06:00 this morning. Did mine and just saved it in order to do the calculation. I almost had a heart attack! According to this calculation, I OWE R165057.18! When I went through all the values I saw that someone made a decimal point boo-boo somewhere. I do not know whether it is my company when they submited it, or whether the error creeped in at SARS. According to the ITR12 document I paid R18384.2 tax, instead of the R183842.0 as it should be. I will have to wait untill tomorrow to call our pay dept. and SARS to find out what needs to be done.

I submitted a little early and got audited. Still got a handsome payout in the end

I actually did mine last night already, around 10h00-ish... getting a couple of grand back. Not millions, but not too shabby either. At least I am not owing, so life is good ;-)

Gonna get a couple of grand back...nothing spectacular.

Still need to add some info though...the IRP5 only includes CTC, not sundry extra stuff.
