Well, you may prefer physical keyboards (and for what it's worth, I like them too), but I think the general consensus on this thread is completely wrong: RIM's real problem is that they didn't do this sooner.

Sooner? They brought out the Storm in 2008 and it was a bit of a disaster and its successor the Storm2 didn't do much better.

my experience of people complaining about touch screens is this: they are people who are prone to complaining. they moan endlessly when they get a touch screen. two months later they are fine with the touch screen. it sure is nicer typing on a physical keyboard, but the benefits of the larger screen blow that out of the sky...

Just another in a long line of examples of how the company has completely lost touch with what its customers want.

No actually they are possible people like me with big hand and fingers and not some 20 yr old with tiny hands?
Touchscreens suck FOR ME. Thats one of the main reasons I still use a BB. I have a tablet or at least had one until it was stolen and always press wrong keys and oh yes I have multiple types of KB's installed.

True story. I don't even have giant hands or fingers but give me a physical keyboard any day. Had an iPhone for two long years. Awful.
