1 mbps uncapped package? sounds like axxess isn't limiting your connection!

    +1 or should I say x10 !! Looks like a 10Mbps account.

Interesting result with a 1M line. Enjoy! I also have a 1M line and my downloads top out at about 100-112KB/s.

I am just wondering if the ISP's are not fooling us. The faster your ISP's connection, the more you pay, so usually we get an ISP connection that equals our ADSL line speed. No one with a 384K line will go for a 4M at Axxess or Mweb Connection; it is a waste of money. But what if you turn this around? Could it be that there is no real difference between a 384kb connection and a 10M connection at the ISP's side, and that the only throttle is your ADSL connection?

Is it possible that you could get a 384K connection from an ISP with a 4M ADSL line and download at 4M speeds? It would save a bundle every month. With Axxess it would save a whopping R327 pm for uncapped. The experience of the OP seems to prove this. So I am just wondering if someone else knows more about this.

I know Atlantic offers an uncapped connection that is not bound by Line Speed. People with a 384k line pay the same as people with a 10M line... the only limit for your download speeds is your ADSL line speed.

Some ISPs throttle their uncapped accounts better than others.
