Pricing Information
There is no registration fee to attend BlackBerry 10 Jam Cape Town.

Space is limited, so make sure you register ahead of time in order to reserve your spot for all of the content on developing for the BlackBerry 10 platform.

Apply for a BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha Device
A limited number of BlackBerry® 10 Dev Alpha devices will be available to qualified developers. During the event registration process, apply to receive a BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device, available only to developers attending BlackBerry 10 Jam!

The BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device is a prototype device created for the purpose of testing BlackBerry 10 applications during development. The device is not a BlackBerry 10 smartphone for end users, nor does it run the final BlackBerry 10 software. It's been created just for developers to help them prepare for the launch of the upcoming BlackBerry 10 platform.

Qualified developers will be determined by Research In Motion® (RIM®) using applicant information from the registration system. If you have already received a BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device at a previous BlackBerry developer event or from RIM, you are not eligible for this offer.

Registrants who apply will be notified within 24 hours before the event if they are qualified to receive a device at BlackBerry 10 Jam. Qualified developers must attend all sessions at the event they are registered for in order to collect their device. Photo identification must be provided at the time of collection. Registrants cannot receive more than one (1) BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device during the BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tour.

The BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device comes with one USB charger and one North American wall outlet charger.

The Jam session at The Westin was awesome, pretty much aimed for Developers between the HTML (web app development) and Native ( BB specific designed apps ) we even had afew Devs from Botswana etc

It was also nice to see that the Developer side of things for Blackberry was gaining momentum globally and not in the ****ter as many would like to believe
