    It's really not that bad android just takes longer to stabilize on an OS version...

    Android version distribution June 2011 {1 Year Ago}



    2.2 is where 2.1 is now, 2.3.3 is where 2.2 is now and 4.0 is where 2.3.3. was

    Main reason for this is because Android is modular, where other OS's need to update the entire base, Android just do the app affected. For example if iOS/WP want to fix the maps application they do this in a OS version Number, On Android they just update the app strait from the market with the other ones that you installed.

    Keyboard/launcher and even Dialers are all separate apk's - That is also why its so easy to customize them with your own.

    The big thing was the ability to dual-boot between Android & Chrome OS, but that was said a long time ago....

    Correct also included will be better multi core support and Open GL enhancements. Overall look/theme will be very much the same as ICS.

    Previews will be on the 27th of June with release shortly after.
