Well i think black people in the States feel very emotional about this case and if they find Zimmerman not guilty, there will be problems. Plus, alot of blacks believe Zimmerman is a white man thanks to CNN et al.

Why would a jury care about whether there will be race riots?

Yeah, there is a lot of politics around the case but juries are apolitical.

There are quite a few differences between the LAPD case that started the 90s riots and this one. Four people vs one. Suspects in the first trial were police officers, Zimmerman was a weekend warrior/neighbourhood watch hero at best. King survived, Martin did not. News and information is broadcasted a lot quicker now.

Yes. He (Zimmerman) caused the death of Martin. So he is culpable and the guy is dead. That is a fact.

But there are more facts - and the key one in this case is if Zimmerman was acting in self defence or being a 'tard. If it was self defence he will walk away without a record. If he was a 'tard he may get a suspended sentence or even jail time. And maybe there are other sanctions like not being allowed to own a firearm.

Of course the latter 'facts' are subject to the spin put onto it by the various parties in the trial.

Yep - each member will have his or her own political view but they are most certainly not selected for having a particular view. In fact having a particular view may end up with those people being kicked off the jury.

This whole case must have been hell for poor Apache, on the one hand Martin is black so probably a criminal scumbag but on the other hand Zimmerman is not white so must be a mindless killer.

I think when in doubt for Apache, the one that's darker is the eviler one.
