    Default BBM icon is missing.

I bought a BB 9300 for my wife so she can keep in touch via BBM with our kids in the UK. Downloaded the ap but cannot find the icon. It's not in Downloads or Instant Messaging. When I try downloading it again, it says that it is installed. Also, it is not hidden as I tried to unhide hidden icons to no avail.
    Where can it be?

Try a software upgrade and reboot device.

If you download bbm messenger via the app store, don't you get an option to run messenger after the download ?

Also have you subscribed to BIS and hooked up your email add via setup ?

Lastly just use the search function to confirm that messenger is installed...

Found the fix. Open browser. On the default home screen scroll down to Blackberry Messenger and do a manual install without utilizing the App World application.

Open your eyes. BB's are currently the phone of choice among the youth. Went to VC today to order a Galaxy Tab and especially asked them which make is the fastest seller (after reading your thread) and he confirmed that the BB is their biggest seller. Men mostly do not buy it due to the small keys.
BIS and BBM is the in thing
