Flat - Security Gate Access / Entry

Hi guys,

I'm having an issue with some people in the flat that I stay in.

It goes like this.

Let's say RPM comes to visit me at my flat, buzzes my number (eg: 3) and I don't answer - be it, I'm sleeping or not even home.
Instead, RPM decides to buzz number 4, tells number 4 that he is here to see me in number 3 - they open the gate for him.

I have a issue with this!
My opinion is that, if I don't buzz RPM in, he shouldn't be allowed in.
He must either call me on my cellphone or home phone or whatever till he alerts me to his arrival and then I buzz him in.

So now that you have the general idea.

This just happened.

A guy arrives, buzzes for number 4 or 5 and gets no answer. So he buzzes other numbers and my lovely mom answers and lets him in.
NOT ONLY does she let him in via the main gate, she opens the downstairs gate and lets him jump over the wall (upstairs and downstairs have a stairway going up which each has their own security gate)

She doesn't know him at all - or most of the people for that matter and I have a huge issue with this.
She can't see my side of things regarding this matter.
I brought it up with her in front of our next door neighbour and she thought I was being a complete ass about it and completely ignored me.

We've only had the security gate for about 3 years ± and there is no real set rules regarding them but I think it goes without saying.

Tell your mom to respect the fact that flats are individual units and privacy. If there's no answer then the visitor must contact the owner directly, not bug other owners/tenants. As you suggest, maybe the person doesn't want to be disturbed.

Just explain nicely to your mom that things could get stolen or she could let an assassin in then she would be responsible, you are going to have to use logic to explain nicely, this is your mom bro

The people in no4 are idiots.

Any bergie can buzz them and say they are coming for all your clothes and furniture and they will let them in. Talk to these idiots.
