I do not think you understand the IPTV concept. It is a scheduled TV service (like DStv) that gets streamed to all subscribers simultaneously via an IP network, instead of a satellite. It is not a video streaming service.Originally Posted by zamicro

What you want to do is normal video streaming... That is not IPTV.

Yes, that is really what I want to tell you. IPTV is exactly like subscription Satellite or Cable TV, with live news, sport etc and VOD. It just has a different delivery system... Encrypted multicast streaming over a fast IP network, to STB's with smart cards in each home. It is not the streaming of your torrent collection and DStv to media players at all your screens.
So according to you streaming of DSTV and other stations over IP is NOT IPTV? So when is IPTV then IPTV?
