You are right, very dangerous, but nowhere near the body count other established beliefs have.

If you outlaw crack cocaine, only outlaws will have crack cocaine. If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.

I'd say control is far worse than body counts.

and by control I mean objective power outside of the organisation, not subjective.

Yeah, imagine if scientology controlled whole countries like the Vatican and Saudi...

There is nothing wrong with changing religions in either of those countries. They are very much free and prosperous happy people.

I don't think they have the mental grasp to control countries like that. They'd make people stop working, and start digging for kryptonite to ward off superman and the fantastic four.

Well so far as Saudi goes, if you try change your religion...

"Saudi Arabia's laws are an amalgam of rules from Sharia, mainly the rules formulated by the Hanbali school of jurisprudence but also from other schools of law like the Jafari one, as well as royal decrees, royal ordinances, other royal codes and bylaws, fatwa from the Council of Senior Religious Scholars and custom and practice.[1][2] The kingdom's laws treat blasphemy as an instance of apostasy. Sharia says apostasy is a Hadd(crossing the limit) offence. Sharia prescribes the death penalty for Hadd offences.[1]"

The Vatican survives on 3rd world hand outs. It is one giant scam. My wife comes from a country where the Vatican has control of the politics. Where the RCC is the be all and end all. Its one of the reasons why cant control their population levels, and its adding to poverty.

They already control Clearwater and have had a go or two at the US government.

Yeah, as for the Catholics, I dislike them. I don't know enough about Sharia law and how it is applied beyond Saudi Arabia. Besides it has it's own advantages. There is considerably less crime in Saudi Arabia because of those harsh laws.

But on the topic; 5000 covert agents, in that time. How many are there now?

    Tell me more!

Yup, those Scientologists sure are crazy! Aliens from 1 trillion years ago, and thetan meters! Wow what a bunch of nut jobs!

It's nothing like the much more believable and credible story of the guy being swallowed by the whale and living inside it for 3 days, or the woman that's transformed into a pillar of salt. Or this other guy that parted an entire ocean...

Religious people are universally crazy The crap they believe in boggles the mind
Im Not Negative, Im A Realist!

I cant say that aliens do or dont exist. There is no proof either way. If proof can be provided that they do exist...then I will believe...untill then...I am willing to keep a open mind. For a guy to say that a alien was lord exiled his naughty people to earth, hypnotised their souls bla blah...and then pass it off as a religion...what that is just fcking stupid! And people are even more stupid for falling for it.
Now why you loer en kyk gelyk?

Which is more believable. Aliens came and visited earth or talking snakes?

What is more dangerous is the religions contain both.

Trust me they exist, and they even use the very christian bible as proof.
.... and thanks for all the fish.

The Sea Org is basically the upper upper echelon of the cult. The info in this thread.. a lot of it I already knew from back in 2004 by googling.

Most people dont come close to this level in the cult mainly due to the expense of all the required courses and the level of submission required... many people drop out at varying levels when they realize what utter lunacy this junk is.

But yes.. the cult is making headway in SA especially because the cANCer is too dumb to realize how dangerous this cult is and because they dont care

Actually if you put some thought into it, talking snakes is way more believable from an atheist perspective than any religion.

A Human = talking animal. What's wrong with snakes?
