    Default Wordpress hosting

I need to create a website for a friend and I've decided to use Wordpress. I'm trying to decide which hosting company to use. On the Wordpress site, they recommend www.dreamhost.com as well as some others, but I know there are tons of others out there, such as hostgator etc. What do you guys recommend?

We have some redundant servers which we've converted to Wordpress/Joomla hosting servers. (1 database, unlimited space/email) A few on here have set up some sites. Shout if you're interested. In exchange, we'd be happy with a Like on our FB page. Email me at dean@clientsupport.co.za .

I am using Domaincheap, and although I have no clue what I am doing, I got Wordpress up and running in minutes, and it's been working perfectly since I've had it.

Well ****, I have nothing to say...

If you are cheap focused, and you are not going to have too much traffic, then there are a lot of cheap hosting options in ZA. Page loading WILL be faster if your audience is local.

If you are going to be doing lots of traffic like 1000 visitors / day and up and lots of big images, video, audio then go international. Personally I like site5 because you can choose where your site is hosted, I like cPanel. For international hosting for a ZA audience I prefer hosting in Europe

I an vouch for Texo, Steve is brilliant and the speed of their servers are unreal fast.

The difference between Texo and the rest is that he looks after your accounts.

Personal service at a killer price and it's local - I tried them all and Texo are the best after 104 000 visitors without a glitch give them a try
