    Question Getting My License

    Hey All,

I am ready to go and book my Driving license, My driving instructor has told me to go to Krugersdorp as theirs is the easiest and my friends say go to langlaagte, then some say randburg (which is the closest to me). and yet my father is forcing me to book at Randburg.

My question, is it really the hardest place to be tested? do any places actually make a difference?

and lastly can anyone give me some tips for my license test?

Yea, I'm sorry just go to your closest one, I know of people who traveled like 300km round trip to go do the license only to fail.. Know your **** and you'll be fine. Some of my mates failed like 4 times, how? I have no idea....

Some places is easier than others, the yard test is the same wherever you go, but then when you do the road test, every place is different.

I failed my test at one place because the road test was uphill almost the whole time and I rolled the car just like 2cm and failed, the yard test was easy as crap.

Then I went to the one all my friends go to and passed so easily its not even funny, I was doing the road test and after like 5 minutes the lady told me to go back to the test center.

Did mine at Randburg last year, past first time, BUT from what I understand people tend to "Pass" allot more in the morning sessions as the examiners aren't as gatvol. Just make sure you address them respectfully and don't forget the "yes sir" or " yes ma'am" 's

Thanks guys, I was under the impression that some places are easier than others, my instructor told me not to go too early in the morning as there is traffic, is this true?

Failed at langlaagte first time out passed at Randburg on the second attempt! If you have difficulty with parking langlaagte is good cause is the grounds are level. But dnt stress yourself

It makes sense, people are travelling to work and school. After 9am or 10 should be fine.

Why do people get attacked by sharks? I mean, how do you not hear the background music?

Langlaagte is bad because of traffic!!!!

    Tips:

    - Go to the most quiet place (roadwise) that is still close to you.
    - Know your stuff for the yard and road test.
    - Take the day off before the test, go to the testing station, wait for someone to come out with the test official. Inconspicuously follow them through the route. You will then know what the road test will entail. Try to do the route a couple of times (with your instructor if possible) to check out any "tough spots".

When my daughter saw the friendly traffic cop, she when into stressssssss mode. Did everything the book say don't.
They gave her a second change on the hill pull away. poor car. And she can drive, and she can stress.

Just did my bike licence, hope you got the first test of the day.

I was second, and the guy before me failed and gave the instructor a bit of lip, putting him in a spiced up mind set.

I had to switch on a very happy personality to de-spice him, which fortunately worked. Listened to him rage on about the previous guy, tills him he did all the right things and he did his job well, etc.

When you meet your instructor, shake his/her hand, try a but of small chat, helps you relax, and softens them up a bit. They are human and first impressions count.
