Thread: Unisa prescribed book (FAC1502)..

  1. #1

    Post Unisa prescribed book (FAC1502)..

I've applied for a few modules, but 2 out of 3 are still "in progress" so I thought to ask what is the prescribed book for FAC1502?

Looking online I see that About Financial Accounting Vol 1 3rd Ed was for 2011, and looking at kalahari it says that
edition 4 is the prescribed book for 2012, is that right?

    Thx

Probably is, 3rd ed for 2011 so 4th for 2012.
Anyone know where I can get this info from unisa, surely this info is already stored somewhere?
I know the info would be provided on some website where you can download your assignments from but I don't know where

    Edit:
I'm guessing the following link will be useful once they enable it even though it's for computing modules mainly, then i just need to wait for unisa, no rush.

According to the prescribed book lookup page on myunisa:

Course Code FAC1502 : FIN ACC PRIN, CONCEPT & PROC
1 Title About Financial Accounting Vol 1
Author Berry, P.R., de Klerk, E.S.et al
    Year Published 2011
    Edition 4th
    Publisher LexisNexis
    Book Notes
    Course Notes
Have a look at the links on the left-hand side of the myunisa login page. Would link it here but the url seems to contain a unique session id or something.

They really should make these things easier to find. Took me 3 years to discover.

I just typed the module codes into kalahari and bought what showed up.

It will be the 4th edition for 2012, as some of the information has changed.
My 1602 book was 4th edition for last semester.

Good luck with 1502. It's not too bad, but 1602 is/was a killer.
