350 is already really good. Winning position really.

Safe score, not necessarily a winning score...

Who did he score runs agains? NZ?

Im not convinced. If that is his average this year then I guess he needs to be given an opportunity in next few series. I just don't think he's good enough.

There is a reason he averages 34.

NZ and SL, what does it matter? You can only score against who is in front of you, and if you have a chance to bat. For the same reason we should have dropped Kallis and Amla after their poor starts - I mean there is a reason they averaged so low, right?

They didn't average 34 after 40 test matches. He's inconsistent, easy to tie down at one end and most important he doesn't have the mental strenght of kallis or amla. He's also in his 30's.

agreed especially since Rudolph looks completely out of his depth in a very strong batting lineup.

Jaques Kallis averaged 44 after 40 tests and he was never dropped, not even when he was averaging 24 after 14 tests.

Rudolph hasn't been in the team consistently, if he was it might have been a different ball game

If we did bring in De Cock as an opener, hypothetically at best, would we push Petersen lower down?

    why move the incumbent opener?

England's decision to field an all seam attack is justified. All they all managed to get a wicket...

Finn brought up his 100 and we didn't even notice because of all this bickering about Rudolph

Broad to Petersen, OUT, 128.9 kph, is this out? England think it's caught behind. Given not out by Rod Tucker and Strauss reviews straight away. Hot Spot shows a big edge. Clearly out. Petersen is finally dislodged. Another nice delivery from Broad which decked away late as Petersen pushed firmly at it

Umpire must feel a tad silly

Anything over 400 would imo be great.
