    Now definitely a Draw.

On to Lords and a good win for the Proteas as the Poms try to chase the game and make too many errors.

We had 3 injured batsmen, I am rather glad it rained.

Nah, we weren't going to win it. Nor were they...

We've had trouble for years cleaning up the tail for want of a wicket-taking spinner. Some of the criticism levelled against him in the above posts is definitely valid, but he is doing his job.

When Kallis retires, and we play only four bowlers, then we might want to go back to a containing spinner like Harris.

Like Harris? Like Harris?! That waddling duck was the first South African cricketer to have absolutely no ball skills. He was, is, and always will be useless...

Yeah, but he was brilliant in the field

I doubt Harris will get recalled, though he did do a job tying up an end and letting the quicks run in from the other. Right now, Philander and Kallis can both do the containing role, so Tahir's profligacy is acceptable.

I hope Rudolph gets a score; he has the technique, but looks lacking the mental strength needed at Test level. Hope I'm wrong.

That was sarcasm because you loved watching him waddle his way around the park, right? And because he was the only fielder on the side who needed a second fielder to complete his throws? Must be sarcasm...

Thought the smiley would've indicated that.

Johan Botha, probably the most over rated player in SA.

Why doesn’t any one mention Robin Peterson?, surely he is a better option than Harris/Botha, and he is capable with the bat.

I must be missing something here? Is Tahir injured? Why are we taking about spin bowlers? Tahir cleaned up the tail, been attacking nicely without giving away too many runs.

I have no problem with Tahir, he simply is the best spinner SA has to offer.

But if Tahir was to get injured, and i had to pick between Harris/Botha/Peterson, then Peterson would surely be the obvious selection.

Apparently he is not good enough.... but he did his job on a pitch that was said to be of so little help to spinners that the pomms dropped Swann.

Some people say that the wickets were lucky..... like Peterson's hundred in the first innings.... ifs and buts and uhms and ahs....

I do not get it, our bowling attack has a spinner that actually turns the ball more than allan donald use to () and he cleans up the tail (the thing we have been looking for!) yet apparently he is not good enough. I forgot that in SA we have so many spinners that we Tahir is obviously just not good enough.

Again, i have no problem with Tahir, i totally agree he is the BEST spinner SA has, even Pakistan said if he was stil in Pakistan they would have selected him.
    I rate Tahir very highly!

I was simply saying Peterson is better than Harris/Botha.

11.40am Sadly the players are leaving the field as rain stops play.
Why do they play cricket in England in Summer?

    /epic sigh...
