Poms will bat to save the game on a wearing pitch.

Should the Saffers up their run rate, its plausible that the English will lose.

SA has a much better bowling attack, and better batters. The English should be worried...

England had the better bowling conditions...

A blind man would know that.

So why did Smith elect to bat first when he won the toss then.

Nobody wants to bat last on a wearing pitch.

    SA play with 7batsmen.

Do you know anything about cricket ?

... And yes SA can bowl England out twice.

With SA's far superior batting line up like you claimed, surely batting on the last day should not be a major issue for SA, why not rather use the bowling conditions to your advantage when the opportunity is there.

    Nothing to claim.

Go see which team has scored more runs and taken more wickets in the series.

Bowlers can bowl England out in any conditions.

Kallis seemed convinced that he got an inside edge. snicko looked more conclusive than hotspot.

And please remind us how many times in this series SA have claimed 20 wickets compared to England, and how many series centurions each side has playing in this match .

What score would we be looking to get on the board today? 350? 400?

    Edit:

The highest successful 4th innings chase at Lord's has been 344 in 1984 by the West Indies.

Looking at that match scorecard, it was done at a run rate of 5.19 .

Anything over 300 will make the game pretty safe. If we can bat well till after tea and have 20 + overs at them we will have a great chance to win.

Wonder if Smith will chase the win or if he will not want to give the Poms a sniff.

    I fancy the latter...

No1 ranking is what we want...

That said I still believe our bowlers are good enough to skittle the English out for anything should we need to chase the game...
