Thread: Moved (back) to Cape Town and need advice

Default Moved (back) to Cape Town and need advice

I am originally from Louis Trichardt and I studied at UCT from 2000 till 2003 and grudgingly left for Joburg in December of 03. I am back in the Mother City (1 827,9 km from my my home town) for good now with the wife and the 1 (4 months) year old son. I would like to show them around as resident, not a tourist and hopefully without paying tourist prices.

Any advice, or should I just bite the bullet and be grateful that I get to see Table Mountain everyday?

Theres one running at the moment, for the cable way up Table Mountain. R195 and two kids free with each paying adult.

That sounds nice. I had too many close calls hiking up via the Block House. I hear it is not as safe as it used to be, heck some tik head made off with my phone on Sunday in SouthField and had the audacity to answer my calls.

All good Haven't been back to that little town in two years... try and not go there, hate the damn road between Jhb International and Louis Trichardt... my parents are still there, I left in 2001.

Out of interest, what school did you go to there? You seem roughly the same age as me, and you are fairly limited in choice of high schools ... think there are 3?
