    Default Maynards Wine Gums

Is it just me or has Maynards Wine Gums lost their original taste. It's way less fruity now, and this happened as soon as the packaging changed.

    Bring back my original gums!!
I believe posters are recognised by their sig... so I made one.

Cost cutting, less fruit, more artificial flavoring.

There is definitely a taste difference between all the Maynard types of packaging. You get...

    1) The normal large sized bag
    2) The traditional white bag inside a box
    3) The smaller bags
    4) The roll of wine gums in the clear wrapping.

Out of all of the above, the ones that come in the box that they sell at the cinemas tastes the most like what you are describing.

And as for the rip-off brands... the less said about them the better...

I'm going to try the Box and hope they're the ones I remember. The small packets have definitely changed, and taste like the other brand rip-offs...

ok. The truth revealed. I grew up with the family that owned beacon sweets before they sold the company. Bounced the question off one of the family who always spent time on the production line in the durban factories.
