The DA took a hammering on this forum, on Special Assignment, and pretty much everywhere after those Hout Bay evictions last year, so its only fair the ANC get their fair share of critism for the same act

The major difference being the ANC were heartless enough to do it during the middle of winter

Johannesburg - Police and informal residents clashed in Marlboro, Johannesburg, during evictions on Wednesday, Johannesburg metro police said.

"Metro police were in the process of removing shack dwellers along municipal owned land on Fifth Avenue. They were attacked and shot at," said chief superintendent Wayne Minnaar.

"It was live ammunition that was used and a metro police car was torched."

He said the police had brought the situation under control and that all was quiet by 08:00.
