Thread: How much for a draught beer?

Default How much for a draught beer?

I was reading the thread about people making out at the Dros, and someone was complaining about the price of a draught beer. Got me wondering, what do you pay for a draught at your local? The price has almost doubled here in the last few years.

    Depends, some places I pay R18, others I've paid R37. Mostly it's around R22-R25.

Try AUD$9.50 for a decent (Hoegaarden Hefewiezen) pint, the local stuff is $3.50 to $5 per pint/$7 to 9 per bottle.

Also on Tuesdays you can go to Gandalfs (not my fav place) and spend R10 on 3 SAB beers. Cheeper than bottle store ( How the **** are they still in business? )

Scrumpy Jacks had R10 Castle Draught special on the first of this month, madness!

What you pay at the bottlestore is already marked up. also the pub might lose 20% on all three those beers but they more than make up for it by selling shooters etc etc.
