    Important note:

You may only enable your Vodacom or MTN Service Provider contract SIM card with FNB Connect. This excludes all other SIM cards. Please note this could take up to 7 days.

Is the username in Step 11 the 087 number? Can't find my sms. Or how do I provision my sim card?

My username is in this format: MYNAMESURNAMEsomenumber@fnbconnect.co.za
You need to sign up for a service first ( can even do the R5 airtime ) which then provisions your account and you receive a username and password

I had them phone me to help with the basic account creation because it can be a bit confusing to have to buy something to activate it

    See:

If you don't have a Surf Account listed there then go to the Surf & 3G screen and create one

I really didn't know it worked on Prepaid. Now the Anytime/TopUp MTN contracts are more appealing. It should come to Cell C and we are sorted!

Thanks PsyWulf. Provision on my sim is pending. That 087 username is just for using the digital phone app I think.

Ok I'm on Cell C and I get a gig free data every month. I wonder can I fool it by using 3G with roaming on vodacom. hmmm

I used the FNB Connect App on my android to phone home when I was in the USA two weeks ago. I used free wifi at the hotel to connect and then used the app to phone my wife in SA. The call was more than 6 minutes and the cost was only R5.49 (which came from the free R10 VOIP loaded on my account earlier the year when I subscribed/opened up my FNB account.

The quality of the calls was quite good. It was a nice and fast wifi connection which propably explains a lot. The quality of VOIP calls on the FNB connect app here in SA using 3G is not as good though...

How much free Mobile data do you get with FNB?

And how much does it cost to top up (eg. for 100Mb, 500 Mb, 1Gb)?

I think you get a certain amount free once off when you open your qualifying FNB account. Not sure how many MB or Rands.
There is no lumpsum MB top up as far as I know. Only a cost of X cents per MB used. Under 50MB = 30/40c per MB and more than 50MB is a little more. (dont recall the cost).

According to this link we will get 100MB 3G data free from 1 July 2012 but I see nothing in my account.
