Default ANC change stance on nationalisation

Well, after saying time and time again that nationalisation is not ANC policy, it seems that Julius might have finally got them to change their minds after all...

    "State intervention in mining 'urgent'

Johannesburg - ANC members have agreed that state intervention in the minerals and mining sector is "urgently required", President Jacob Zuma said on Friday.

"[The] conference has agreed that the state intervention with the focus on... industrialisation is urgently required in the minerals sector," Zuma told African National Congress delegates at the close of the party's policy conference in Midrand, Johannesburg.

"At the forefront of this intervention should be strengthening of the recently created state mining company by consolidating state mining assets into a single institution."

I'll put my points across by means of my tweets as I watched the press conference on the telly. Suprised that there was no fury being vented here at the time. I was too lazy to start a thread for discussion at the time.

    Tweets:

    1. Isn't what @SAPresident is now saying on @ SABC2 just a grammatically enhanced version of what #Malema had been saying all along?

    2. @SAPresident U may make all the radical changes u want.JSE capitilisation does

    3. Mine Nationalisation?! #JuliusMalema - @ SAPresident is playgarising you dude! #smh #ANCFail

    4. My God! To think I was fearful of what #JuJu would do in years to come. @SAPresident & #ANC are steamrolling JuJu's plans now! # WeRZim

How is the consolidation of State mining assets Nationalisation?

Had they said the consolidation of Mining assets into a State company, that would be nationalisation...

Where does it say they are going to nationalize? They specifically resolved not to nationalize mines or expropriate without compensation. They will accelerate land reform within current constitutional requirements.

I think the ANC actually nationalized and cancelled comprehension, because it is clearly lacking here. Where does it say they will nationalize anything.

Your questions make zero sense in the context of this discussion, however im a nice guy and if you would just explain why you think asking that is relevant I'll tell you who I voted for in the last election. Fair?

For now, I'd have to aggree with R13. Consolodating state mining and nationalising business mining is two different things.

Would love to get an actual transcript though.

    Fair.

Under which State department(s) do the mining assets currently reside?

I just find it odd that a person with your level of education would defend the ANC as much as you do. Sure, in this context of this thread i think your comments are useful, but why are you generally such an ANC fanboy? What are your motivations?

You will also need to substantiate this fantasy that I give blind loyalty to the ANC. No on this forum can actually prove me an ANC fanboy it is just ad hominem nonsense because I don't agree with the oink movement.
