Only when you are extremely lucky it is a gambling game...

Yeah, definitely a gamble, but then I have sold quite a few bracers in the 700k range, also created great bracers for all my characters. I obviously cant speak for everyone, but I have made more money than what I have put in (and thats not counting this sale) but I think that is because I can create bracers which can be good for any class, as opposed to someone who gets a crafting plan for a class specific item, ie: wand/bow/barb belt/quiver etc. then that guy has to craft until he gets the perfect role, whereas my bracers will sell to a variety of classes/ builds etc.

This game is about killing elite packs for rare items, and what crafting does is provide a way to increase the turnover of items, thereby increasing the chance of finding the good stuff. You just have to know what items to salvage, and what to sell to the vendor, then you wont have to pay for any of the crafting ingredients.

Also depends on your recipes. By the stats, that is a recipe that dropped as it has more than 4 affixes...
That's not to say the Exalted recipes are worthless, but having the extra stats increases the chance of something useful coming out.

BTW jpr, I thought the dropped recipes went up to 5 bonus stats.... is the one you have for 6?

Why don't you go ahead and go into more detail regarding that statement. I'm sure loads of people here would benefit from such information from someone who seems to play that part of the game well...

Seen quite a number of the 6 bonus ones for sale the past week, but buying a recipe at 1-20mil just does not seem right to me

Thats cool. I thought it was limited at 5.... I hardly see recipes drop and of the few that did, 5 was the max I saw....

Nice! Good to see this part of the game being enjoyed by a MyBB member.

Wonder how many changes will come in with the exp. pack later... doubt if they will do the socket "crafter" as was originally proposed.

I sadly have to agree there. With the arguement constantly being made to Blizz that the game is too item dependant, strengthening items even further may not sit well with all those guru's.

Well Item dependence is for blizzard a great move as it makes people 'play' longer and it gives the RMAH and the GAH a big role....

I actually think that inferno should be crazy hard and that without getting the right gear you should not be able to finish it.

People complain that they can't finish the game after playing it for 1-2 weeks.... this is silly.
