Still don't see it as competitive with Cell C, call pricing is too high and don't forget the per minute billing... Considering Cell C roam on the VC network coverage for calls is not an issue, except for the 2G roaming.

How did they ever think these are worthwhile?? Even their own existing packages offer better value... The mind boggles.

The only surprise is the continued lack of value...
Cell C cant fix simple issues and have bad customer support:

On Vodacom the S2 is R299 per month for 75 off peak minutes, 100 sms and 100 MB data
For the same price on Cell C you get 65 anytime minutes, 50 sms and 100 MB of data.
(Cell C has the S2 for R249 on Straightup 50, so add 50 MB for R35 and add 15 minutes OOB at 99c/min)

Cell C wins that one by a small margin, IMHO. But on other handsets Cell C is quite expensive.

I've updated the final table to reflect new OOB rates issued by Vodacom. It seems the table in the original press released mixed In-bundle voice rates with OOB data and SMS rates.

Wow who does their marketing? I mean to do a press release but leave a lot of important info out, or get it wrong, thats pretty silly.

And these still dont feel like good deals. Paying R1.99 per minute for peak calls? Sorry, why would I want to do that? Cell C wants to charge me literally half that, why would I go with Vodacom?

You arent convincing me here Vodacom.

I think you should do a Vodacom and CellC comparison so the public can see the gaping holes in Vodacom's "special" deals.
2 tables: one with handset and one without.
