Thread: Best 5.1 Home Theatre for PC.

    Default Best 5.1 Home Theatre for PC.

    Hi Guys, please advice on the following.

    The logitech speakers 5.1 is to expense. Will this Home theatre be gud enough for 5.1 for games movies and music played from pc http://www.sony.co.za/product/dav-dz340k

    Y not rudimental, would u recommend something else?

    There is no input for 5.1 audio.

    Yup, I have a proper component system that is rated at 80W RMS continuous and 120W peak for the front speakers (i.e. 160W continuous or 240W peak for both) that would blow the socks off that.

    Your thread title is "Best 5.1 Home Theatre for PC". So I assume you have about R20k to spend right?

    So Mike, please do tell what type of speakers you got and which ones do u think I shud look at, really want to feel the sound under my bums!!! lol

    I'm not running sound from a PC though, but it's a Marantz NR1602 + Jamo S416HCS.

    For PC you're probably looking at something like the Logitech Z906.

    Wow bro, thats a very nice setup you have there. but expensive i say. cooool!!!!!!!!!!!!. my budget is standing at R2500 only for nice speakers!!!!!!

    I know. Was just saying you're looking for best speakers at a specific budget, not just best speakers in general.

    If you want speakers just for PC use you can get some decent ones for like a grand.

    It's a lower-mid level setup, so not expensive in home theatre terms, but pretty good for what I need it for.

    Still think you should save up a bit for the Logitechs, they were designed for PC use and they do sound great.

    If you can find a 2nd hand set of Logitech Z-5500's you won't be disappointed, but the Z906 should be good as well.
