Might be worth attaching a USB drive and testing the same movies from local storage.

Make no mistake both Raspbmc and OpenELEC are still in very early day stages, so give it some time to mature. I've had to shelve my ideas of using it for an HTPC because there is no USB audio support yet (I need optical out).

Unfortunately, some of my full HD movies stutter a lot! Very dissapointing!

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Thanks
I am also experiencing stuttering with certain files, at this stage it seems to be limited to files which include a DTS sound track. One thing I read you can try is to set Openelec to passthrough audio if you have a DTS capable receiver. I can stream 1080p files which contain a AC3 sound track without any issue.

Does anyone know of a good cheap game controller to use with the XBMC rom manager? I would love to set this up for 2 player games.

Can someone please enlighten me about the actually price, from hearing that the device is $35 to now seeing that that price was excluding VAT so now its $42 and there is another $8 tax fee making it a total of $50 at R8.18 (from Sharenet) so now that makes it R409 from other people reporting to have paid R360? i know its only R49 difference but what about import duties etc? What will the total cost i will pay?
