Don't hop on the bandwagon just yet. There appears to be many kinks in their uncapped package's performance. The worst is when you download dies unexpectedly, or when you browser throws you the "Server closed the connection" error. i agree with you.i was with them i had exactly same problem.i phoned them more than 10 times and they just blame uncapped internet:-) so i don"t think cybersmart is really smart option yet unless they prove us opposite.

Been on their 10mb uncapped account from the 1st of July and it has been pretty good.

Getting 700kBps-900kBps on Astraweb, and 100kBps-200kBps on torrents. File sharing sites such as Turbobit and Extabit also perform reasonably well. I find performance is best when opening multiple files using a download manager.

Same applies to Youtube. I tend to download them using a download manager rather than waiting for them to stream live. Get 900kBps-1100kBps under those circumstances.

So it's just the 384kbps and 1Mbps users that get the short end of the stick. They wouldn't possibly bundle 4Mbps and 10Mbps users with the 1Mbps ones would they? Nah, they wouldn't do that.

When measuring performance one should look at a number of different methods and criteria.

1st off use a download manager, Orbit is a good free one as is IDM which is what I use (paid).

2nd Speedtest.net is not always an accurate reflection of ones line speed, neither are torrents. They volatile at the best of times.

File sharing sites such as Turbobit, Extabit, Oron and Uploaded.to are far more reliable sources of material but it comes at a cost.

NZB is another reliable source but again it's not free.

Yes, it measures real world performance. As your file is being downloaded it measures and indicates the rate at which it is coming down.

True but I just use direct downloads and that to measures that true speed.

But are you relying on the browsers integrated download manager? Cause they notoriously ineffective.
