iPad and printing to network printer via 3G

I'm trying to setup printing for my boss for his iPad 3, I have installed fingerprint on our server, connect his ipad to network and he can print great to any printer on the network.

He also wants it setup so he can print to our network printer's from 3G when he is out of office?
He prints mostly emails.
Any ideas?

I have tried the dropbox printing but too slow and sometimes just doesnt print.
Google cloud printing, can only print from within google apps.
