I was given a WD Ext 2.5" 1TB drive which has gone belly up ( the usual not mounting & repetitive clicking sound)
Unfortunately, the person who gave it to me died recently so i have no way of knowing where it came from.
It is under warranty according to the WD website (until mid 2013).
However its serial number does not match that of any distributor i have contacted, these include:
