In contact with the Abuse department, so far after 3 emails and 2 responses i still havent received any kind of clarity of what i supposedly did wrong, which is great fun.......
Thank you Mweb Guy
Thanks for the investigation.
To wrap this up: Logged ticket on Telkom site. Telkom phoned me and wanted to know what exactly was wrong with the line, what speeds I was getting, pings, etc. We arranged a visit. 20 minutes before they showed up I lost ADWL line sync. They showed up exactly on time, activated my ADSL line on their system and I'm back to enjoying my MWEB 1MB uncapped account at full speed. Have to give credit where it is due![]()
Hi MWEB Guy
Another technician came out today, he says it is the distance and doesnt know what is wrong!? I told him if you can get it before you can get it again! He asked if you could please reset the port and try bumb it up to 4mb once again! Telkom have no idea what they are doing! We are sick of this

Hey Mweb Guy
Still waiting on feedback from the abuse department.
I was wondering, could you please clarify what Mweb means by:
What is defined as a prolonged transfer? And do you loot at all data usage (steaming, http, vpn, torrents, etc, or is it prolonged transfer on a specific protocol or connection?prolonged transfers over consecutive days could also trigger a warning. Bypassing our shaper, etc.
Also wanted to know, does prolonged transfers mean a session? as this was brought on on the Mweb Q&A forum
Also, what do you mean by bypassing your shaper, i spoke to a Mweb Technical consultant and he said this was the manipulation or your cap/adsl line to receive higher speed than you are suppose to.
Just to make sure warnings are avoided![]()
