All those games look crap to me. They are more phone games than console games. Pretty sure you can achieve the same thing with a phone connected to your tv & a wireless controller.
This is not going to compete in the same market as xbox, ps or wii.

Nothing for $99 will compete with a dedicated console. That said, time will tell when traditional game devs actually have an android console to dev for IMO.

yeh, was just about to post about this.
problem here is download, all games probably need to be downloaded and with ****ty expensive internet, not going to work for me.

Can't get uncapped as well, no Telkom where I live in the middle of no-where, actually Midrand just Telkom won't replace stolen cables in my area anymore

The fact that these guys raise over US$8mil is amazing.

At US$99 it's actually a pretty good deal. Why? Well for starters you get two controllers which is pretty cheap. You also get a quad core Tegra 3 cpu. You don't have to use this as a console, there are many other application. It's only about 3x more than a B model Raspberry Pi but the specs are way better, granted the target market is not exactly the same.

I would not mind one of these little 'consoles'.

    Two controllers? Are you sure?
AFAIK it's one. Extra controller is now $50 - up from $30. Perhaps I'm wrong?
Android is way more efficient on this kind of device than Debian - hence the better performance.

Their original order page shows the extra controller at $30 briefly before redirecting you to a page where it's shown at $50. If you're quick enough you can stop the redirect and place an order lol.
