YUP, one of the cheapest on the market - try getting a price like that from another manufacturer....

This "satnav" includes your full sound system, blue tooth and DVD player.

The Jeep was on my list, but they are offering really bad trade in, almost R 15,000 less than the 3 listed

XUMWUN, if you thought that was bad R17,8900 for Jeep's Sat Nav, VW R25,500

Would love Subaru, but over budget, if we could only have the car prices from overseas then it would be a whole different ball game

Will take a look at the ASX, the only thing is they also belong to Imperial, it the service going to be as bad as the Kia dealers?!

That is interesting... Jeep gave me R15k more than everyone else a few months back.

I think this is one of the biggest dilemmas people are having at the moment with the SUV market becoming very competitive and a very popular choice.
Visually I personally love the Kia! IX is too feminine for me. Tig is great but looks small? I need to check the actuals specs though.

i have the ix35 ... havent had any problems, i have the 2gls auto model and i must say it is a bit heavy on petrol averaging 10 to 11L\100km town driving.

first choice was the kia but like you i found the sales people a bit arrogant for my liking ... plus the ix35 comes with more features standard compared to the sportage

other than the consumption i am very happy with the vehicle

Juke 1.6 turbo, perfect car for you. It's not that ugly, nice inside, suv type, highish ground clearance.

    .

How can you spend so much money on a car that you consider ugly at all? Isn't it cramped inside as well?

I am a Hyundai/Kia fan and it pains me to say it seems as if the dealers don't know how to handle the demand they have had for the first time recently (with massive stock issues & then seemingly telling customers to F off).

That VW is a very good deal also but I would not want it out of motorplan. 1.4TSI engines are giving a lot of problems.

You cannot compare to his choices. He said he is looking for something bigger than a normal hatch. Have you seen the Juke's boot?

    The Fortuner 3.0 D4D starts at R455K.
    The 2.5 D4d is R339K

If you have the cash.... you cant go wrong with the Fortuner.

TBH if I were you I would hold out and save the extra R40K and buy the Fortuner. The KIA, IX35 & Tiguan are all decent, but nothing compared to the Fortuner. The Fortuner is diesel too, so you'll get better mileage.
Soos 'n choppie op die vuur.

Fortuner diesel is a massive theft/hijack risk. The engine transplants perfectly into a quantum.

Driving a car in SA is a massive risk, so is basically everything you do in SA.

    Not all risks are equal.

Some insurance companies require two different trackers in a 4tuna..
