Thread: Should I print this and mail it to the traffic department?

  1. #1

Question Should I print this and mail it to the traffic department?

I have seen this car around for a few months now and it has never had a front plate on. Should I mail these photos to the traffic department? Is there anything they can do about it?

I just get p*ssed off that while the rest of us have to pay our fines this person is out and about doing what they please without a care in the world.

You don't find that a little unfair?

So you're complaining that he's breaking the law.
How did you end up having to pay fines?

Take your camera to a taxi rank - imagine the good you can do there.

If you were going around reporting cars that were not roadworthy, I might have a little more sympathy for your crusade, but FFS a front numberplate isn't even a requirement in some countries like the States, for example.

    Let the thing go.

I don't get why people would waste their own time to try and nail other people just for the sake of it. Why is the fact that he has no front plate working on YOUR nerves??... if they pull him over he will have to face the music so why are you fretting about this??????... the song "Klikkie Klikkie Klik Bek" comes to mind!

    I say do it.

If it was a week or two fine but if you know that it's been around for months, send it in. Just now the guy hits someone, or runs a light and the camera's don't pick him up.

Whats the problem with reporting something illegal?

I guess you are right, there is no reason to report someone who is breaking the law.

The police and trafficops should just as well disconnect their phone lines because what is the point in reporting anything? Someone breaking into your house, no problem, I am sure the police will catch them and fine them - why waste time with calling them about it.

    Excellent point.

Fazda, when did you move the States?

I didn't have a legal number plate on my S2000 - went through roadblocks various times... nothing... think it was only mentioned to me twice by the police.

Apart from the legality the reason this guy has taken off his front plates is to drive extremely fast on public roads and face no repercussions. That's not cool..
