Thread: 8ta Diablo 3 Ping / latency

    Default 8ta Diablo 3 Ping / latency

    I was testing Diablo 3 gaming last night but I was getting a latency of 400-800.
    I'm testing from the Western Cape, Southern Suburbs area and I have full 3G coverage.


    Does anybody with 8ta 2 + 1gig promo also have this issue?
    Another thing is that when I do a speedtest and pingtest, it says I am in jo'burg?

    I can't play D3 on 8ta because the latency is too high. On Cell C it's fine though.

    These days I only use the 8ta bandwidth for downloading since the speeds are fast but the latency sucks where I live.

    Hi all!

    As per the other threads:
    We are currently experiencing a higher than normal customer data usage which will affect throughput during busy hours. Network optimization is in progress which will address the issue. A resolve is expected by next week Wednesday (18/07/2012).

    Thanks for the response. I look forward to more gaming and testing with better pings, once optimization has been completed.

    Thanks for confirming what the issue is, nice to get a clear response and not the usual generic responses. Appreciate the effort and we will be sure to keep you updated on our network experience once the optimization has been completed.

    Effjh - There are only so many ways you can ask people to complete a template. Complaining with providing no information will not get us anywhere.

    I gave you a compliment.. This is the 3rd/4th time you have had country wide issues with your network since I've been a subscriber, and this is the first time you gave us proper feedback as to what the issue/solution is. Rather just take the positive feedback
