Now DSTV needs to offer the same. I don't have DSTV as we only want to watch it a few months of the year

Good on TopTV! SA needs more prepaid products. Good for the economy and for keeping people out of debt.

Great! Now it just needs to be extended so we can purchase a channel at a time on prepaid.
I doubt MultiChoice will offer prepaid though.

You can turn your DSTV on and off at will... I'm involved with a guesthouse and we do this on a regular basis. They charge us pro-rated for the duration of the stay of a guest.

You mean after a R50 phone call to multichoice? That's not to mention the time require to do it.

The online self-service functions tends to work for us most of the time.
Otherwise there is always the local number to call for 'your' call center.

Wow... didn't even realise there was an online self service option! Thanks for that. We've just got back onto multichoice after a long absence and I was annoyed at the phone calls to get things going.

So if I deactivate my smartcard on the self service site, do I immediately stop being billed at that point in time?

They allow only one connection and one disconnection per month as far as I know.

DSTV and TopTV are already prepaid on a Month-to-Month basis. You always pay in advance for each month that you watch, never in arrears, and as soon as you miss out on your payment they cut you off. So I'm not sure what they're going on about.

Prepaid contract and prepaid voucher are two different things.

There's no contract for DSTV or TopTV though. You can cancel at anytime without any obligation.
