Heard this morning, good news indeed.
Not coming soon, its out now. Only catch is you have to compile it yourself. (Google Play apk will be published once they are happy with the app)

Looks great. They've done a sort of 1:1 port, so it hasn't been modified for the touch smartphone experience. Clicking is a problem coz it mostly picks up as a swipe.
It won't be long now though. Works exactly as it does elsewhere. Added media sources. Library updated. Hopefully they integrate the remote into the player as well.
