Thread: Broken Contract Phone

    Default Broken Contract Phone

    Hello

My Brother has a MTN contract via Nashua.

He upgraded April/May 2011 and took a Sony Ericsson x10 mini.

The phone gradually started giving problems with charging: it will charge for a while then stop and continue without you ever touching the phone.

We took the phone in for repairs and just received it back.
They say the phone is 'beyond economical repair' and it has 'Broken Tracks'.

The phone is barely over 1 year old. Shouldn't they replace the broken phone while it's still under warranty?

Is it out of warranty? Problem? I don't get it.

Did it have a 1 or 2 year warrantee? Most phones have 1....

I guess 2 year warranty then. Before they sent the phone away they said there will be now payment because it's still under warranty.

The warranty on Sony phones is so - so. The company is going downhill and looking after old customers is not a priority for now. Tx God I managed to get rid (Bid or Buy) of my oldish SE phone while it is still ok (mostly)
