AFAiK the only malware that could harm you is if you installed an app (that has malware in it) from the Appstore but NOTHING from a website can harm you unless they code it especially for iOS which is unlikely.

    You are safe

Doesn't exist... iPad doesn't allow plugins and hence is difficult to exploit like desktop browsers.
Also known exploits e.g. jailbreakme are patched with subsequent releases.

Thats is what I was pointing to, a better site would probably be http://browserspy.dk/ or https://panopticlick.eff.org/
Can read Techrepublic's interview with the owner of browserspy over here

Just trying to point out that browsers does give out information about you all the time, none as serious as to passing out usernames and passwords, hackers would normally use malware or phising for that anyway.

No worries... Not sure it would help to alleviate the concerns of the OP; yet I believe you right, it's better to be informed than not.

Visited and nothing there to worry about, I forgot to mention another thing that would be a good ide to limit access to malicious site is to use OpenDNS.

Certain websites use the onswipe plugin to convert their site into a HTML 5 friendly website.

I.T news africa is one of these sites (http://www.itnewsafrica.com/)
