As a user of Lenovo products since they took over the ThinkPad brand from IBM I hope Lenovo gets the top spot as they deserve it imo. The integrity/quality of the ThinkPad range/brand has been retained and in many ways improved. I am however not impressed with their efforts in the tablet market to date.

except of course for the service received from partserve which is by far the worst I've seen, we've moved over to dell just because of this.
most recently sent in a machine for a replacement charge connector and it came back with a broken screen a month later! and that for a NBD warranty...
and we've had a least a dozen more cases like this... onsite is still good though.

Just to let you know about the poor service received from Lenovo in South Africa.I sent a laptop in for repairs on 14 June. The agent partserve reported 3 days later that the motherboard needed replacement and was waiting for a new motherboard from Lenovo.Today I was told by Teggy Joseph that the motherboard cannot be replaced and that I will have to go to my distributor to get a new laptop. This after 1 month..Essentially what this means is that if you buy a Lenovo today, and in a month if there are issues with it, you will have to make the trouble and get a new one.It cannot be repaired. Also Lenovo refuses to replace the laptop. What of the distributor does not have the same model and specs. Will I have to settle for less ? For the number one company the South African branch service is poor.
