I had a few board games that had pieces missing so sold them online for a few rand. I also won the game Bounty a few years ago and whilst my family are all board game players I never played it and they got me to play it about a month ago after about 8 years give or take a year.

So I went and bought my 1st proper board game "Mansions Of Madness" I am still awaiting for it's arrival from Amazon, I can't help but feel excited about it, so hopefully playing board games like this won't be a let down, yes i've played your common games like monopoly etc., but have always wanted something that requires thinking and takes quite a bit of time. Anyone else out there quite an avid board game player?

I think the only thing bugs me is that if the newer games are alot more balanced, speaking as a gamer/RTS player now, i don't think it would be any fun if there were no challenge and you could find exploits in the game.

Nope... I'll have to look out for those.

Nearest I have to that I Risk and Dungeons and Dragons!
Most of the others are like 30 Seconds, Balderdash, Sorry, Life, Monopoly, Pictionary, etc.

I was married to a Dungeon Master long ago. We played many board games, we started with D&D then onto the military games, we played many different famous battles: Some of the games we played are listed here, others are no longer available, but it was good gaming for sure.
