AS one loyal dog leaves this world, another gets an awesome new life with kickass new people.
Cool! How long is the recovery period?
If you don't understand the argument well enough that you could switch sides and represent the other team, stop arguing.
Will find out the details today when we pick him up, but I'd assume much the same as for a person; 6 - 8 weeks. From what I could gather though the break's been pretty solidly stabilised and he's only going to have a light bandage. I'll let him dictate the pace, but he definitely ain't going to be screaming 'round the yard for a few weeks yet.
After seeing headlines with so many bad things regarding animals, my spirits get lifted when I hear good stories like that.
Somehow I don't think this one needs a caption...

I tend to agree with DJ on this one..
Dude, you are deserving of any praise coming your way... He looks happy, and I have a feeling you have a dog that has realised he's at home now.
I know my boy took all of the 30 minutes to realise he was in a place that would spoil him rotten and he has never let me forget that he loves me, especially when I wake up in the morning to a bull terrier sleeping on me like a cat... its the only way to wake up in the morning![]()
I think humans are overrated, but pets... well now thats a different story.
Guys how can we contribute to Haptics medical bill if we want, I cannot spare much but for sure I would like to donate a few bucks.
Whatever you do....
Do not start a thread or discuss it much here.
My suggestion to those wanting to donate to Haptic should maybe PM him to get banking details .....
This has been discussed before and for a large number of reasons the foeum cannot support ot ecourage this.
Also let this be the last discussion re this here as it cause thread closureand many have enjoyed reading here

Ya. One of my friends posed a hypothetical question to me:I think humans are overrated, but pets... well now thats a different story.
If both your dog and person you didn't know were in danger of dying, which would you save?
I told him flat out I would save my dog. I have raised her and loved her even though we were told she was very sick as a puppy and would probably die. She's now part of the family.
My friend was quite taken aback.
Folks, my sincerest thanks to those who have offered donations via PM but I wouldn't feel comfortable accepting money in response to a story that undoubtedly plays out countless times all over the country. If Lego's ordeal has inspired you, please donate a blanket or two, a toy or a bag of food to your local animal shelter - they need it more than we do. Or better yet, go give a throwaway pup another chance...
