What do these fools care about SA anyway. Their actions and "management skills" certainly show no interest in the SA economy or it's welfare.

Apparently the ratio is 1 taxpayer to 14 leeches. Completely unsustainable, and govt is doing absolutely nothing to make it easier to employ ppl.

I am getting to the point where I'm going to have to start replumbing parts of my house. I have 2 geysers in the house (from previous owner) and up until now its been affordable to have them both, just keeping one (used predominantly in the kitchen) at a lower temperature...

Well at this stage it will take us over 30 years to get back our money if installed a full PV system on our house... Hopefully in 5 or so years pv power cost is way down..

I don't think that you can blame the USA for the ANC's incompetence !

Yup all these increases aren't going to upgrading the entire power grid....as long as the execs get their R1 million+ bonuses they are happy....

No it is, but about just 20 % of it, the rest is going to the pockets of the "power" . How do you spend 90% of your budget, but only reach 25 % of your targets.... Easy !!! Only in (South) Africa

    Very true.

Didn't they show on SABC News when they went into the townships and saw all the cables tapping electricity from the main grid?

Was quite scary, as those cables are not even shielded, just a straight connection from the poles to their homes.

With our current economical climate another eskom increase will make it difficult (if not impossible) for the middle - and lower class income to pay these fees.

Nothing good can and will come from this and I predict a total economical as well as social-economical collapse for South Africa within the next 5-10 years.
Yup. I want to disagree, but you are spot on.
