prices for neotel fibre? 155mbps?

I wonder if they do faster connections for local traffic only! ? I know this is South Africa but still 15mbps.

I need a connection thats 100mbps local and 1mbps international... its a SA thing

I saw they Have an Acceptable usage policy. Does this mean they throttle, and have a contention rate like ADSL?

NeoLink is an point to point connection - similar to what an Leased Line is for Telkom. You get the capacity you purchase, from point A to point B. We have an local circuit (Cape Town CBD to Stellenbosch), 50mbps for approximately R30K.

Telkom's point to point Metro Ethernet services are also highly competitively priced, and the same service from these two providers are fractionally different in price.

South Africa is soooo far behind in technology and expensive, this is where a cleaver none medicated entrepreneur with some money have to jump in and show the middle finger to everyone! ....I would like to do that tho, but cant, hahaha..

You are comparing completely different things. A 50Mbps consumer broadband connection is very different front the leased lines being discussed here.

50mbps ADSL is NOT the same as 50mbps dedicated lines....... They're two totally different beasts altogether. With a dedicated connection you alone use that pipe, i.e. the full 50mbps, with ADSL, you share with everyone else on the same circuit

About 4/5 years ago I was in London with a 24mb dsl line for 20£ a month uncapped... you could download a movie in 15minutes and most of the TV channels allowed you to stream from their websites to(on demand and live).. Having to "deal" with a 1mg line now that I'm back is such a kok up.. What a pleasure it would be to be able to have a few servers running from home for a small business venture without it costing you a couple thousand rand a month just to keep live.. :/

I were kinda referring to faster optic internet lines there, because neotel only do 15mbps max for a high az price ...oh, I'm still waiting for them to call me back, 1+ later now..sigh... they always tell you somebody will call you back, if you ask fibre question... lame az company

but point to point lines go higher aka office to office go higher because it a difference process, but I'm looking a 100mbps+ Internet connection for the same reason as Faultyboy, hahaha, 1mbps suck bro! lol
