Have you guys also noticed how platinum went from being the more expensive between to two to less expensive...
I was tracking the price for a while (just by listening to the price on the radio) but just found it amazing how we regarded as platinum to be higher than gold now its changed...

So does that mean Standardbank gold cheque card is better than platinum

Anyway good luck with your investment Lordpiet

Platinum actually gets used in the industry while gold... not so much. There are other factors influencing the price of platinum.

Ja I called my banker and asked him to upgrade my platinum card to a goldcard.

    Sense of humour failure.

A friend's parents own a platinum refinery in cape town. You can purchase gold or platinum bars from them in different weights. The company is called Metcon & the number is 021 5100770

I'm not following, why is it you don't you want Krugerrands?

But if you're looking for bars, try these guys:
    Cape Precious Metals
    Metcon

I believe you pay tax on bars; no tax on Krugerrands.
Look around though to source the best possible deal.
