Here's the problem: About a month ago I got Telkom 384k ADSL which is sufficient for me because I really just use it as a stable internet connection, and for the occasional download. My computer is upstairs so I used a wifi adapter, and managed to connect to the internet without much of a hassle.
Problem is in my living room I've got a PS3, my Sony LED and a Samsung Smart Blu-Ray home theatre. Neither of these three can connect to the internet (PS3 via wi-fi). The PS3 and the Blu-Ray player can pick up my home network and I can stream media off my computer but it refuses to connect to the internet. Surely there must be a logical explanation for this or am I doing wrong?
A colleague at work told me I need to get a new adsl router and chuck the Telkom-branded Netgear router in the bin but I'm looking for a hack before I part with more shekels.
