Default Cell C iPhone 4s - Could Not Activate iPhone

I just got a Cell C contract for a iPhone 4s during lunch. The sales guy didn't know their wireless password to activate it, and I was in a hurry so I said it's fine I'll do it myself.

The first thing I did when I got back to the office was plug it into my laptop (with the US iTunes account I use on my iPad), and I've been getting the message ever since. After getting the message on the laptop I tried doing it on the phone (with the region set as South Africa), no luck.

Could the US account have anything to do with it or is it some other problem?

Are you sure itunes is not blocked by your company IT TEAM?

It doesn't work with the laptop connected over 3g either. The Cell C simcard does work in another phone though.

So I found the problem, exactly the same as this: http://howtoworkmyappledevice.wordpr...ork-on-cell-c/

I hacked up my old vodacom sim to fit and everything's fine. Luckily I wasn't going to really use the Cell C sim anyway.
