Would never think of getting her a crapberry. They are not welcome in my house.

It was released in May 2012 and is available globally.

Wonder if you wouldn't be able to find it in one of the Samsung stores yet?

I suspect Vodacom, MTN, CellC & 8ta are testing it on their networks now....

Must be the most compact dual-core very nice and powerful little smartphone the Ace2, i see it being a very bigger seller over the next 12months.

Anyone around here got it yet? Would love to know how it performs in benchmarks and UI performance.

Pity about no ICS, it really is inexcusable though

I have an S3 currently, but I upgraded from an Ace. The hardware on that thing was unacceptably slow. The S3 has really opened my eyes as to what Android has to offer. Hopefully the Ace 2 can manage the same for less than half the price.

I have a Galaxy Ace...and it is superb!

But there are a few tricks to make the Ace works optimum....first stop is Gingerbread 2.3.6 firmware. (I'm using the Spain open firmware). Then you must try not to use more than three homescreens and - most important, get a class 10 micro SD card for this baby.

Because the Ace does not have a lot of internal storage, it will try and install as much apps as it can on the SD card. So if your SD card is slow, so will be your Ace.

And if you have done it the right way, the Ace is actually a brilliant little phone.

But the Ace 2 might just be the perfect upgrade for all Ace owners.
