Question MTN Account - Credit balance

Sup guys. Have a quick question. I want to get rid of my cell phone payments. If I put a lump sum (monthly payments x outstanding months) into my MTN account and have a credit balance, will they still debit my bank account monthly or will they just keep eating away at that credit balance in my MTN account? I use the contract package and have no desire to cancel the contract. Just want to get rid of the payments. Its my first phone contract and I've had it for 3 months and it makes me uncomfortable. Feels like short-term debt and I hate owing money.

    Thanks in advance.

PS Dont need advice on putting the lump into a savings account etc. as I know it will come up.

Nothing constructive to add here, except I hope you've learned your lesson with cellphone contracts! That being said, we've all burnt our fingers with them already

Yeah, Ive learnt. Although the package costs me R420pm for my Galaxy Note with R200 airtime and its on topup so its not a bad deal, especially if Im allowed to pay the lump in now and forget about it.

I tried it out about 2 years back. Paid off the contract in 1 lump sum payment. MTN ate off the credit amount.
