i am what many people would call fanatically christian. christian jokes don't offend me in the slightest. in fact, they shouldn't offend any christians, because the bible teaches us not to take offence at things. besides, i think God can look after Himself just fine without my input. if the joke is funny (and often it is), i will laugh![]()

What a crock of schyte. Who should non-religious people try and not offend exactly. Just the run of the mill nutjobs or the severe lunatics like Westboro?
Should we now stop painting, having sex with our girlfriends, surfing or skateboarding because some misguided and deluded nazi thinks he's got a direct line to god?
No fecking chance buddy. You do your thing, I'll do mine thank you.
But of course some people live to be offended and will seek it out to complain about it. Even though the internet has a corner for every single conceivable activity I can think of and a lot more I can't. So why the feck do so many offended people turn up in places that are of no interest to them? I don't go to a Bulls web site and complain they are dissing the Stormers. Obviously they are, good for them, that's their bag and long may they continue.
Same with religion. Except the lines are a bit more blurry depending on what sort of delusion you are under. Mild to maniac makes no difference, keep your nose out if you don't want to be offended.
Quite simple really.
When hungry, eat your rice; when tired, close your eyes. Fools may laugh at me, but wise men will know what I mean.

So much for trying to start a rational conversation on this forum.
As you were. I'll go away.
Unicorns are extinct.
Religious believers need to realise that their God(s) do not need them to fight their battles on his/her/it's behalf. Sit back and be strong in your faith that your almighty whatever will take care of business.
