The Hugely anticipated movie of 2012.

Its going to gross more than Avengers ($1.5b).

Batman hits an all time low.

Batman has been missing for 8 years.

Bane says to Batman : your punishment must be severe

Director Christopher Nolan has said Bane the character was chosen because of the desire to test " Batman both physically as well as mentally"

Opens in South Africa on the 27th Of July 2012

Oh, for the record - Ster-Kinekor has early screenings on Sunday the 22nd. My tickets are booked!

Got my ticket booked too :) but now I've heard that Warners are considering pulling all screenings of the film until further notice due to the killings.

The last one was very dark , I imagine this one should have atleast a 16 age restriction if it's anything like the last one

The killings are a major blow !

Chris Nolan should have cast Eddie Murphy as the Riddler ,

I have trouble linking those comments together...

Would Johan Stemmet not make a great Riddler? I mean - he has been asking questions on Noot vir Noot for almost a thousand years now. Riddle me this.

if Eddie Murphy had been cast as the Riddler then success was a sure thing , even the killings would not have made a difference. People have died watching Avatar and Passion of the Christ

Anyway The Dark Knight Rises has grossed 30 million dollars in the last 24 hours.

So I just watched the Dark Knight Rises ... and as someone who doesn't enjoy films being hyped up, I thought it was bloody amazing!

So difficult to discuss it without spoilers galore! I'd definitely recommend it for ANYONE even considering waiting for it to get to dvd or to torrent it. Go check out the big screen.

EDIT: Do NOT read the cast list on IMDB, there are 2 (probably 3) characters making an appearance whom you would NOT have expected.

I loved the failures in the movie as well as the ending. Absolutely brilliant!

Thanks a lot. Looking forward to the movie.

on another note. The Dark Knight Rises had grossed 75 million dollars by night time last night:)

Saw this morning that my local cinema had two screenings today - would have gone but wife and kid went to go see another movie so I had to baby sit littlelist geek, will go next week then.

Loved it,Acting was top notch,my only complaint was the music score was a bit too loud in some parts and I battled to hear Banes speech outside blackgate prison.I nearly lost my $*** during the end montage.

9/10

Do you need to have seen the other batman movies to know what's going on? This is the 3rd one in a series, right?

This is the third one in the series, yes. A lot of what happens is driven by events in the first two movies, so it would make much more sense to watch it after having seen the first two. That being said, I would not recommend watching the first two in one sitting, since they are quite a lot to take in and that might spoil the experience for you...
